This is a common behaviour. The way it works atm is far from beeing perfect. Sometimes patcsh might help you. You should try booting it verbose to check what makes it hang.

Most likely you have installed something that relies on mobilesustrate, once you install a program from Cydia that hooks in at a lower level - you need to "just boot tethered" each time.
