I recently got my dream iPad and now I am looking at buying a best quality car charger for my iPad. I searched around and found tons of car chargers are available in the market to choose from. I also found discount deals on car chargers at http://www.dealrocker.com and http://www.nextag.com. Can anyone point me in the right direction and suggest me the best brand?
If it's the same like it was with iPhone, you can just go off to eBay and buy 2 of the cheapest. If it breaks, just use the second one you bought. I even saw that the expensive ones in the stores are just the same liek these from eBay just in a nicer packaging and 100 times more expensive lol.
The iPad needs a 10W power source to allow it to charge quickly. This trasnslates to 2 Amps at 5 V. Most USB or Auto chargers originally designed for iPod/iPhone typically provide between 500 mA and 750 mA of current. This is usually not enough to actually charge the iPad whilst you are using it, particularly if the iPad is running continuously.
I bought a Gecko brand USB cigarette lighter adapter that is regulated and rated at 2 Amps. It not only charges fast using my existing USB sync cable, but charges my iPad whilst I'm using TomTom.
that's quite informative Pagrei. I've also been looking for a car charger for my ipad. this will definitely help me buy the right kind of car charger for my baby. thanks!
