Check List
----------
1. Install iTunes (not 911)
2. Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Download
3. Download and Extract The Firmware Umbrella (fw-umbrella-semaphore-222.zip)
4. Download ECID Grabber

Backup Steps
-------------
1. Launch ECID Grabber and get your ECID

2. Launch Umbrella.EXE
- enter your grabbed ECID
- select device version : iPad - 3.2
- SHSH repository : Apple
- Click on submit (after some time you'll find new file with extension shsh)

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME

Can someone please help me I upgraded the ipad stupidly not realizing i was going to loose jailbreak.. Do I have to downgrade SHSH or can I restore and re-jailbreak.

It has been restoring now for 35 minutes I dont recall it taking that long before.

if someone can tell me how to restore shsh or point me to a link, I am not that technical so whatever is the easiest.

well first off go here and download firmware umbrella http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/

next open up the app and plug your device in and the app should detect it

click whichever button means download SHSH

then click whichever button starts the TSS server

then restore to 3.2 in iTunes

if your on a mac i can give you more detailed info but right now im just generalizing

Does this work with 4.0 firmware?

iPad currently does not have 4.0 firmware. 3.2.1 is the newest firmware, as of August 9 2010, for the iPad.

If you are referring to the iOS 4.0 for iPhone, yes the firmware umbrella works and TSS server works with 4.0 iOS.

1.Get the ECID.
2.Get move the application firmware umbrella umbrella. Dmg preferably on your desktop.

3. Now put your iDevice in recovery mode.

4. Launch the application of the umbrella, and will automatically detect your iDevice, advanced check in and enter your number ECID, select the location to Apple and press the reset button (this will require Apple SHSH signature and save it to your Mac )

4. By doing this you will save your copy SHSH in the same directory where the file is umbrella.app, copy it and rejoice, because you have your own gold 64kb with you.use this method if it work to solve your problem. iPad app development
