iPad vs. Kindle

Hi everyone,

let me know about you opinion. Since kindle gets apps now as well, what do you think will be better for book reading on a long term shot?

Kindle's display is much better than the iPad one for reading I think. But can it ever beat iPad's cpu power for apps?

Get a iPad, colorful and has much more possible usages.

had a look at the iriver here in perth west aust.very kindleish (if that is a word) but will wait for an ipad I want to have the choice of other functions not just reading a book on it

Don't know about what apps would run on a B/W screen with such poor fps?

Yeah, it'S an eBook reader, not a tablet x) Maybe compare it to the vapourus WeePad or something.

I am still amazed that they really want to jump the love ..erhm .. app train with their kindle reader o.O

Kindle is obviously better to read plain books. Technical manuals perhaps are looking the best on iPad.

So you dumped kindle? I think it is a totaly other thing. There is iPad as a real tablet and a kindle as a reader (just one thing iPad can do), but kindle is totaly unusable for apps in common sense.

if anyone has an iPad, why would they need Kindle? I like Kindle but i think my iPad serves me fine :-)
